At age eight, Johnny began playing guitar on Christmas Day 2004.  Johnny's father taught Johnny for almost a year before bringing him to Dan Leonard for instruction in fall 2005. Dan is one of the Washington areas most accomplished guitarists and a long-time friend.

Johnny has chosen to follow the Lord Jesus Christ boldly and recognizes that his gift comes from the God of the Bible. As long as the Lord allows, Johnny will strive to glorify God with his guitar.

Johnny is home-schooled and the second-born of eight (Janette born 11-30-09).
