| Are you prepared for the lightning? Lightning often appears in the Bible when God is about to speak or act. It symbolizes His power and instills great awe. In Exodus, the people trembled. And in the end, the Son of Man will come and will be visible like lightning. None knows when that will happen, but would you be ready if it happened today? "Lightning" was Johnny's first recording. Johnny first sketched out the idea on a digital eight-track recorder before recording the studio version of "Lightning." Written by Johnny Recorded: November 2007 Johnny: All Guitars |

| Amazing Grace invokes some of the strongest emotional responses among those who have experienced God's truly amazing grace. The song is traditionally performed at weddings, funerals, and other sacred events. It is even popular among those who have not personally invited Jesus into their own lives. One doesn't have to dig too deep into John Newton's life to see just how powerful God's grace is, and His grace can save you in the same way. Listeners will agree that this isn't your typical Sunday rendition of Amazing Grace. Although the intro is very traditional (3/4 time, pipe organ, etc), the song veers away from the traditional very quickly. Even still, Amazing Grace is an absolute classic with deep meaning to many Christians. | Before the days of refrigeration, salt was used for slowing decay. It was essential for curing meats. We use it today primarily for flavor. Throughout history, great Christian men and women have salted our world in remarkable ways -- ways that have benefited even those who do not call Him Lord. If He is your Savior, you are the salt, and you are the light. Do not lose your saltiness, and let your light shine. "Salt and Light (and Pepper)" is Johnny's second studio recording. Dan Leonard gave Johnny some excellent pointers, which greatly improved the final product. Written by Johnny Recorded: March 2008 Johnny: All Guitars |

Johnny doesn't hold back while laying down the lead track on Jerry C's arrangement of Canon in D. Any one who has ever attended a traditional Christian wedding probably knows this tune. Although originally composed in the late 17th century, it was not published until 1919 and was first recorded in 1940 by Arthur Fiedler. It has been supposed that Pachelbel composed this piece for Johann Christoph Bach's wedding. Although this rendition departs from the original, the same theme that would have delighted Johann Sebastian Bach during his eldest brother's wedding is heard throughout Johnny's recording. Hopefully listeners will find this rendition enjoyable, even without the wedding. Johnny: Lead Guitar |
